M.Tech. in Communication Systems

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering) in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA for General/OBC category; 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD category.
• Valid GATE score in a relevant paper is mandatory for full-time regular candidates.
• Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree in Science (M.Sc.) or MCA with 70% marks and a valid GATE score are also eligible.
• B.Tech. graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempt from the GATE requirement.

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

• Admission is primarily based on a valid GATE score, followed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) counselling.
• Candidates must first register and apply on the official IIT Jodhpur admissions portal (iitj.ac.in).
• After shortlisting, candidates must register on the COAP portal to accept offers from IITs.
• Selection may also include a written test and/or a personal interview as part of the final evaluation.
• The final merit list is prepared based on GATE score, academic record, and performance in the interview.
• For the latest academic session (2026), the application deadline was April 15, with the first semester commencing in July.
