B.Tech + MS by Research (Dual Degree) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSD)

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
• No minimum Class XII percentage required (unlike the JEE Main route).
• Must appear for the IIIT Hyderabad UGEE (Undergraduate Entrance Examination) conducted by the institute.

• Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

Admission Process

• Step 1: UGEE Application: Candidates must register online on the IIIT-H UG admissions portal. Application portal typically opens in February and closes in March/April.
• Step 2: UGEE Exam: Appear for the computer-based UGEE exam (3 hours). The exam has two sections: SUPR (Subject Proficiency test, 60 minutes) and REAP (Research Aptitude test, 120 minutes). There is negative marking of 25% in both sections.
• Step 3: Shortlisting: Applicants are filtered based on performance in SUPR, then ranked on REAP score to shortlist for the interview.
• Step 4: Interview: Shortlisted candidates must appear for an on-campus interview (June 4-6, 2026). The final offer is solely based on interview performance.
• Step 5: Reporting: Selected candidates must report to the campus for document verification and fee payment.

Program Highlights

• Graduates earn two degrees: B.Tech and Master of Science by Research.
