M.Tech. in Computer Science and Information Security (CSIS)

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline from a recognized university.
• Alternatively, MCA with B.Sc. (Maths) or M.Sc. (Maths/CS) are also eligible.
• Minimum 65% marks in graduation for General category.
• Admission is based on IIITH PGEE followed by a rigorous interview.

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

• Admission is primarily based on IIITH PGEE (Postgraduate Entrance Examination) conducted by the institute.
• Candidates must register and apply online through the official IIIT Hyderabad admissions portal (pgadmissions.iiit.ac.in).
• For M.Tech Product Design and Management (PDM), a valid score in GATE or CEED is also accepted.
• Selection for M.Tech programs is based on performance in the entrance test and may be followed by an interview for certain specializations (no interview for M.Tech CSE).
• The final merit list is prepared based on PGEE score, academic record, and performance in the interview.
• For the 2026 academic session, the PGEE exam was scheduled for May 2, 2026, with the application deadline on March 31, 2026.
• GATE-qualified candidates (CSE/IT) are eligible for AICTE stipend as per norms.
