Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC category (as per DCI and NMC norms).
• Must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
• Must qualify the NEET UG exam conducted by NTA: 50th percentile for General, 40th for SC/ST/OBC, 45th for General-PwD.
• NRI, OCI, PIO, and Foreign National candidates are eligible under the NRI quota.

Fee Structure Breakdown

• Total tuition fee for the 4-year academic BDS course: Rs. 26.40 Lakhs.
• Annual tuition fee (approx.): Rs. 5.28 Lakhs per year.
• One-time caution deposit: Rs. 10,000 (refundable at course completion).
• Hostel fee: Rs. 84,500 to Rs. 1.25 Lakhs per year (9 hostels; Wi-Fi enabled; AC reading rooms; gym; 24-hour water and electricity).
• Mess charges: Approx. Rs. 45,000 per year (veg and non-veg meal plans available).
• Estimated total for entire 5-year course (including hostel & mess): Rs. 33 Lakhs - Rs. 35 Lakhs.

Seat Matrix

• Total BDS seats: 100 (DCI approved intake).
• All seats are filled through MCC Deemed University counselling.
• No separate State Quota or AIQ split; all seats are Deemed University quota via MCC.
• NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National seats: Designated NRI seats available.

Admission Process

• Conducted by MCC / DGHS at mcc.nic.in; open to all India candidates without any domicile restriction.
• Register on MCC portal after NEET UG results; pay non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 1,000 (General/OBC/EWS) or Rs. 500 (SC/ST/PwD).
• Pay refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 (General/OBC/EWS) or Rs. 50,000 (SC/ST/PwD).
• Upload documents, fill and lock college and course preferences including MCODS Mangalore, and participate in 4 rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.
• NEET UG 2025 General category MCC Deemed closing rank: approx. 4,00,000 to 4,50,000 (closing score approx. 280 to 310 marks).
• NIRF 2025 Rank 11 in Dental category; IIRF 2026 All India Rank 26.

Post-Allotment Reporting at MCODS Mangalore

• Report to Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Light House Hill Road, Mangalore, Karnataka - 575001 within the date in the allotment letter.
• Documents required (Indian candidates): NEET UG admit card and scorecard, MCC allotment letter, Class 10 mark sheet and certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and certificate, Transfer and Conduct Certificate from last institution, Migration Certificate if applicable, Domicile or nationality certificate, Category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD if applicable, PwD certificate from competent authority if applicable, 8 recent passport-size photographs on white background, ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving License), Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical officer, Anti-ragging undertaking signed by candidate and parent/guardian.
• Documents required (NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National candidates additionally): Passport and Visa of sponsor (proof of NRI status), Proof of relationship between sponsor and candidate, Notarized affidavit from sponsor confirming full course fee sponsorship, Embassy or Consulate certificate of sponsor (issued within last 6 months), Notarized Family Tree certified by Tehsildar, Annexure I issued by MCC for nationality conversion if applicable.
• Fee payment through MAHE online payment portal or Demand Draft in favour of Manipal College of Dental Sciences on the day of reporting; cash not accepted for seat confirmation.
