Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General/OBC/EWS category; 45% for SC/ST/PwD.

NEET UG is NOT required for this diploma program. Admission is merit-based on Class 12 PCB scores.

Fee Structure Breakdown
Annual tuition fee: Rs. 68,000 per year.
Total tuition for full 2-year Diploma in Dental Hygienist course: Rs. 1.36 Lakhs.
University examination fee (MAHE): Rs. 3,000 - Rs. 5,000 per year approx.
Hostel fee: Rs. 84,500 to Rs. 1.25 Lakhs per year available at MCODS/MAHE campus hostels.
Grand Total including all charges and hostel: Rs. 3.50 Lakhs - Rs. 4.50 Lakhs approx. for entire 2-year diploma.

Admission Process
Admission is merit-based on Class 12 PCB aggregate scores; NEET UG is not required.
MCODS publishes admission notification annually on manipal.edu; candidates must check the official website for the 2026-27 notification and application dates.
Candidates fill the application form online at the MAHE admissions portal or download it from manipal.edu.
Submit the filled form with self-attested copies of required documents to the MCODS admissions office within the stipulated date.
A merit list is prepared based on Class 12 PCB marks and published on the MCODS notice board and website.
Shortlisted candidates must report for document verification with all originals and pay the prescribed fee to confirm admission.
Post-Selection Reporting
Report to Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Light House Hill Road, Mangalore, Karnataka - 575001 within the stipulated date.
Documents required: Class 10 mark sheet and certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and certificate, School and College Leaving Certificate, Character Certificate, Domicile/Nativity certificate, Category certificate if applicable, 4 passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking.
Program overview: DCI recognized Diploma in Dental Hygienist; trains students in oral prophylaxis, scaling, dental health education, fluoride therapy, pit and fissure sealant application, dental radiography assistance, and preventive dentistry under licensed dental surgeon supervision.
