M.Tech. in Biotechnology

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering, Leather Technology, Bio-Technology, Industrial Bio-Tech., Bio-Chemical Engineering, Bio-Informatics with 55% aggregate from a recognized university.
• Alternatively, B.Pharm with minimum 55% aggregate.
• Alternatively, M.Sc. (Ag.) / M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences / M.V.Sc. with 55% aggregate.
• Valid GATE score or a qualified score in KL University Engineering Entrance Examination (KLEEE) or any state-specific PGECET.
• Selection is based on entrance exam score followed by a personal interview.

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

• Admission is primarily based on a valid GATE score, followed by CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech) counselling.
• Candidates must first register and apply on the official CCMT portal (ccmt.admissions.nic.in).
• After shortlisting, candidates must register on the CCMT portal to fill choices and accept offers.
• Selection may also include a written test and/or a personal interview as part of the final evaluation for some specializations.
• The final merit list is prepared based on GATE score, academic record, and performance in the interview.
• For the latest academic session (2026), the CCMT counselling is expected to begin in May 2026.
