Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General/OBC/EWS category; 40% for SC/ST/Category I candidates.
  • Must have completed at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
  • Must qualify NEET UG conducted by NTA: 50th percentile for General/EWS, 40th for SC/ST/OBC, 45th for General-PwD.
  • Candidates must be medically fit as per DCI and Yenepoya University standards for BDS admission.
  • NRI candidates can apply under the management quota, subject to MCC counseling guidelines.

Admission Process

Fee Structure Breakdown

  • Total tuition fee for 5-year BDS program (including internship): Rs. 20,26,000 approx.
  • Annual tuition fee: Approximately Rs. 4,05,200 per year.
  • University and other fees: As per Yenepoya University norms.
  • Caution deposit: Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 (refundable at course completion).
  • Hostel fee: Rs. 1,20,000 - Rs. 1,65,400 per year (depending on AC/Non-AC room, shared occupancy).
  • Mess charges: Included in hostel fee or charged separately as per plan.
  • Grand Total for entire 5-year BDS course including hostel: Approx. Rs. 27,00,000 - Rs. 30,00,000.
  • Median placement package for BDS graduates: Rs. 7.00 Lakhs per annum as per NIRF 2025 data.

Seat Matrix

  • Total BDS seats: 100 per year (DCI approved intake).
  • As a constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), BDS seats are filled through MCC Deemed University counselling at mcc.nic.in.
  • Seat allocation includes Management Quota, Muslim Minority Quota, and NRI Quota as per university norms.
  • No separate State Quota or AIQ split; all seats are Deemed University quota via MCC.

Admission Process

  • Step 1: NEET UG: Candidates must appear for and qualify NEET UG with required percentile.
  • Step 2: MCC Counselling: Register on the MCC portal (mcc.nic.in) after NEET UG results. Pay non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 1,000 (General/OBC/EWS) or Rs. 500 (SC/ST/PwD).
  • Step 3: Security Deposit: Pay refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 (General/OBC/EWS) or Rs. 50,000 (SC/ST/PwD).
  • Step 4: Choice Filling: Upload documents, fill and lock college and course preferences, including Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore.
  • Step 5: Counselling Rounds: Participate in up to 4 rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round). Stray Vacancy rounds may be conducted physically at the college.
  • Step 6: Final Admission: Upon seat allotment, report to the college for document verification and fee payment.

  • Documents required (NRI candidates additionally): Passport and Visa of sponsor (proof of NRI status), Proof of relationship between sponsor and candidate, Notarized affidavit from sponsor confirming full course fee sponsorship, Embassy or Consulate certificate of sponsor (issued within last 6 months), Annexure I issued by MCC for nationality conversion if applicable.
  • Fee payment through Yenepoya University online payment portal or Demand Draft in favour of Yenepoya Dental College on the day of reporting; cash is generally not accepted for seat confirmation.
