Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in Computer Science/IT or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
  • Valid GATE score in Computer Science (CS) is mandatory for regular candidates.
  • Candidates graduating/graduated from IITs with a B.Tech degree and a CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempt from the GATE requirement (7.5 for SC/ST).

Admission Process

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

  • Admission is primarily based on a valid GATE score, followed by COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) counselling.
  • Candidates must first register and apply online through the official IIT Tirupati admissions portal (iittp.ac.in) and then on the COAP portal.
  • The application deadline for the July 2026 session is April 20, 2026.
  • After shortlisting, candidates must register on the COAP portal to accept offers from IITs.
  • Selection may also include a written test and/or a personal interview as part of the final evaluation.
  • The final merit list is prepared based on GATE score, academic record, and performance in the interview.
