Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree (B.C.A., B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Information Technology, or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA for General category; 45% marks or 5.0 CGPA for SC/ST category.
  • Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level is mandatory.
  • Admission is based on TANCET score or Kalasalingam University Entrance Exam (KUPGEE).

Admission Process

Admission Process for MCA Program:

  • Admission is primarily based on a valid TANCET score. Candidates can also appear for the Kalasalingam University Entrance Exam (KUPGEE).
  • Candidates must first register and apply online on the official KARE admissions portal (kalasalingam.ac.in).
  • After shortlisting based on TANCET/KUPGEE scores, candidates are called for a personal interview.
  • The final merit list is prepared based on entrance exam scores, academic record, and performance in the interview.
  • For the latest academic session (2026-27), the application process is expected to begin in April 2026.
