Eligibility Criteria

  • B.E./B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) or CPI 6.0.
  • Valid GATE score in EE (Electrical Engineering) paper. GATE score valid for 3 years.
  • IIT B.Tech with CPI ≥ 8.0 may be exempted from GATE.
  • Sponsored candidates need 2 years work experience.

  • IIT Kanpur Electrical Engineering department releases shortlist based on GATE score and academic profile.
  • Some specializations may conduct online interviews. Final selection via COAP.
  • Selected candidates pay seat acceptance fee and report for document verification.
