Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class X and XII with at least 50% in PCM in Class XII.
- Must have a valid score in any of the accepted entrance exams: UPESEAT, JEE Main, SAT India, or CUET-UG.
Admission Process
Fee Structure Breakdown
- Total tuition fee for 4-year B.Tech course: Rs. 12.59 Lakhs .
- Year 1 tuition fee: Rs. 2.82 Lakhs .
- Hostel fee: Rs. 1.70 Lakhs to Rs. 2.40 Lakhs per year .
- First-year fees (including other charges): Rs. 2.68 Lakhs .
- Median placement package (2025): Rs. 6.5 LPA .

- Admissions are based on entrance exam scores, board merit, and performance in the selection process.
Admission Process
- Step 1: Entrance Exam: Candidates must have a valid score in UPESEAT, JEE Main, SAT India, or CUET-UG .
- Step 2: Application: Fill out the online application form on the official UPES website. The application fee is Rs. 1,000 .
- Step 3: Selection & Counselling: Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification .
- Step 4: Final Merit List: The final selection is based on the entrance exam score and the candidate's performance in the counselling process.
Post-Selection Reporting
- Upon selection, candidates must report to the campus for document verification and fee payment.
- Required Documents: Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates, Entrance exam scorecard, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate (if applicable), Caste certificate (if applicable), Domicile certificate (if applicable), Passport-size photographs, Medical fitness certificate, Anti-ragging undertaking.
