Admission Process Flow

For Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech) programs, admission is strictly merit-based through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) single-window counseling system. Ranks are determined by normalizing Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). No separate entrance exam is required for TN residents. For Architecture (B.Arch), a valid NATA score is mandatory. Postgraduate admissions for M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan are conducted through the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) or based on GATE scores. MBA and MCA admissions require qualifying the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). Other state candidates can apply under a specific quota through the university's Centre for Admissions (CFA) portal.

General Eligibility Criteria

For B.E./B.Tech: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The minimum aggregate marks required are 45% for the General category and 40% for MBC/DNC/SC/ST/SCA categories. For M.E./M.Tech: A Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering or technology discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). For MBA/MCA: A recognized Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved categories) and a valid TANCET score. Domicile requirements apply for TNEA counseling, where native Tamil Nadu students are eligible for reservation, while others are considered under the Open Category.
