Banasthali Vidyapith

Banasthali Vidyapith was founded in 1935 in Rajasthan, initially as a school, and was granted deemed-to-be-university status in 1983. It has grown into one of India's largest women's universities, running programmes across engineering, sciences, humanities, and management — all exclusively for women students, following a distinctive gurukul-inspired residential education philosophy that combines full-time on-campus living with modern academic training.

Within this framework, Banasthali's engineering school offers B.Tech programmes in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, and Bioscience & Biotechnology, producing a disproportionately large share of India's women engineering graduates from a single institution.

The Banasthali campus in Rajasthan is a large, fully residential setting where all students live on campus for the duration of their studies as part of the institution's founding philosophy.
