COEP Technological University

College of Engineering, Pune was founded in 1854, making it one of the oldest engineering institutions in Asia — predating even the earliest IITs by close to a century. In 2022, it was elevated to full state technological university status, becoming COEP Technological University, giving it expanded academic autonomy while retaining its historic identity and reputation within Maharashtra and across India.

COEP runs undergraduate programmes across Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Civil, and allied branches, with a research culture built on nearly 170 years of institutional history.
