Graduates commonly pursue MDS specialisation (NEET-MDS), government dental officer roles in Manipur's public health system, private practice, or hospital-affiliated clinical positions across the Northeast.

The mandatory 1-year rotating internship is completed within RIMS's dental and broader hospital facilities — a Dental Council of India (now National Dental Commission) requirement before BDS graduates can register to practise.
