Admission Process Flow

Admission to GDCH Ahmedabad is strictly merit-based and conducted through national-level entrance exams. For the BDS program, candidates must qualify for the NEET-UG examination. For the MDS program, qualifying the NEET-MDS exam is mandatory. The seat allocation is divided into two categories: 15% of seats are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ) by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and the remaining 85% are filled through the State Quota by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat. Candidates must register on the respective counseling portals and participate in the choice-filling process based on their merit rank.

General Eligibility Criteria

For BDS: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC). The candidate must also be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. For MDS: Candidates must possess a BDS degree recognized by the DCI and have completed a one-year compulsory rotatory internship by March 31st of the admission year. Permanent or provisional registration with the DCI or State Dental Council is required.
