Admission Process Flow
Admissions to the BDS and MDS programs at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences are conducted strictly based on merit through national entrance examinations. For BDS, candidates must qualify for the NEET-UG exam. For MDS, qualification in the NEET-MDS exam is mandatory. Following the entrance results, candidates must participate in the centralized counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for Deemed Universities. For Ph.D. admissions, the institute conducts its own entrance test followed by an interview process.
General Eligibility Criteria
For BDS: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (45% for SC/ST). The candidate must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year and have a valid NEET-UG score. For MDS: Candidates must possess a BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution and must have completed a one-year compulsory rotatory internship. A valid NEET-MDS score is essential. For Ph.D.: A Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree with a minimum of 55-60% marks is required.
