About KIIT
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology was founded in 1992 by Dr. Achyuta Samanta and received deemed-to-be-university status in 2004. Its campus in Bhubaneswar, Odisha has grown into a large multi-disciplinary institution spanning engineering, medicine (KIIT Medical College), law, management, biotechnology, and more, with the School of Computer Engineering as its flagship and largest engineering programme by intake.
KIIT is closely associated with the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), a free residential school and higher-education institution for tribal children run by the same founding trust — a distinctive social-impact dimension to the KIIT group's identity.
