Admission Cycle 2024-25

Registration Phase

Admissions for 2025-2026 are primarily entrance-based. For B.Tech, candidates must appear for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). The merit list is prepared using a 50% weightage of the MET score and a 50% weightage of the 10+2 marks. Following the result, candidates must participate in the online counseling process for branch allocation based on their ranks. M.Tech admissions consider GATE scores or MET ranks, while MCA admissions are conducted based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Key Deadlines

MET 2025 Phase 1 registration typically opens in October/November and closes in mid-March. Phase 1 exams are held in April, while Phase 2 registrations and exams occur in May/June. Specific 2025 slot booking usually commences 7-10 days before the exam dates.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech programs, candidates must have passed 10+2, A-Level, IB, American High School Diploma, or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects (Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational) is required. For M.Tech, a BE/BTech in a relevant branch with at least 50% aggregate marks is mandatory. There is no specific age limit for applying to MET 2025.
