Admission Cycle 2024-25

Registration Phase

Admissions at NIT Calicut are strictly merit-based and conducted through national-level entrance examinations. For B.Tech and B.Arch, candidates must qualify for JEE Main and participate in the JoSAA/CSAB counseling process. M.Tech and M.Plan admissions are processed via CCMT based on GATE scores. M.Sc. admissions are through CCMN based on IIT JAM scores, while MCA admissions follow the NIMCET entrance test. For MBA, candidates are shortlisted based on CAT scores followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Key Deadlines

B.Tech admissions typically follow the JEE Main schedule with counseling in June-July. M.Tech/M.Sc admissions via CCMT/CCMN usually start in May-June. MBA applications are typically invited in January-February for the subsequent academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech: Completion of 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject, with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD). M.Tech/M.Plan: Relevant Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan) with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD) and a valid GATE score. MBA: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and a valid CAT score. Ph.D.: Master's degree in a relevant field with 60% marks or a 6.0 CGPA.
