Admission Cycle 2024-25

Registration Phase

Admissions at NIT Uttarakhand are purely entrance-based and follow national-level counseling processes. For B.Tech programs, candidates must appear for the JEE Main and participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counseling. Admission to M.Tech programs is conducted through GATE scores followed by CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan). M.Sc admissions are managed via JAM scores through CCMN counseling. Ph.D. admissions are based on an institute-level written test and interview for eligible candidates.

Key Deadlines

B.Tech admission follows the JEE Main cycle (Jan/April) and JoSAA/CSAB counseling (June-August). M.Tech and M.Sc admissions follow the GATE/JAM schedule and CCMT/CCMN counseling (May-July). Ph.D. admissions typically occur in June and December for the respective academic semesters.
