Admission Process Flow

Admission to NIFTEM is highly competitive and varies by program. For B.Tech in Food Technology and Management, 50% of seats are filled through JoSAA/CSAB based on JEE Main ranks, while the remaining 50% are filled through Direct Admission at the institute level using JEE Main, CUET, or NEET scores. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE scores or the NIFTEM Entrance Test. MBA admissions require a valid CAT/MAT score followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). For Ph.D., candidates must clear the NIFTEM Research Entrance Test followed by an interview, with exemptions for those holding UGC-NET/JRF/GATE fellowships.

General Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST). For M.Tech: A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology/Engineering or relevant allied fields with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) is required. For MBA: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) is necessary. For Ph.D.: Candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant field with 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST).
