Admission Cycle 2024-25

Registration Phase

Admission to the B.Tech program is conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) based on JEE Main rankings. M.Tech admissions are processed via Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan (CCMT) based on GATE scores. M.Sc admissions are through CCMN based on IIT JAM scores. PhD candidates are selected through an institute-level entrance test and personal interview.

Key Deadlines

JEE Main Session 1 is typically held in January and Session 2 in April. JoSAA/CSAB counseling begins in June. GATE and IIT JAM exams occur in February, followed by CCMT/CCMN counseling in May-June. PhD applications are usually invited twice a year for the July and January sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST/PwD). For M.Tech: A valid GATE score and a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 60% marks. For M.Sc: A bachelor's degree in science with minimum 60% marks and a valid IIT JAM score.
