Admission Process Flow

Admissions at SVNIT Surat are strictly merit-based and conducted through centralized national-level entrance examinations. For B.Tech and Integrated M.Sc programs, candidates must qualify for the JEE Main and participate in the JoSAA or CSAB counseling process. For M.Tech programs, admission is primarily through the GATE exam followed by CCMT counseling. M.Sc admissions are handled via the IIT JAM score and CCMN counseling. MBA admissions consider CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT scores followed by group discussions and interviews. Doctoral (PhD) admissions are conducted twice a year based on internal written tests and interviews for GATE/NET qualified candidates.

General Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject with at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For M.Tech: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA. For PhD: A Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA and a valid GATE/NET qualification for full-time scholarship categories.
