Admission to the flagship B.Tech program is primarily conducted through the Vel Tech Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (VTUEEE), which is held in multiple phases annually. Candidates must register online through the official portal. Following the examination, a merit list is prepared, and successful candidates are invited for the counseling process. In addition to VTUEEE, the institute accepts JEE Main scores. Direct admission is also available for certain categories based on board exam merit (usually requiring 60% or above in PCM). For PG programs, GATE, TANCET, or the university's entrance test scores are considered, while MBA admissions utilize national-level tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, or TANCET.

Eligibility Criteria
For B.Tech programs, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). For B.Tech Lateral Entry, a Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized board is required. For PG programs like M.Tech, a relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory. MBA candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and a valid score in the required entrance exams. Eligibility also includes an age requirement where candidates should generally be at least 17 years old by July of the admission year.
