M.Tech. in Structural Engineering

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute.
• Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% marks for SC/ST).
• Valid GATE score in the relevant discipline is mandatory.
• B.Tech graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above (7.0 for OBC-NCL, 6.5 for SC/ST/PwD) are exempted from GATE.
• Admission is based on GATE score, academic performance, and interview, conducted through the COAP counselling process.

Admission Process for M.Tech Programs:

• Admission is primarily based on a valid GATE score.
• IIT B.Tech graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempt from the GATE requirement.
• Applications are submitted online through the official IIT Mandi admissions portal (iitmandiadm.samarth.edu.in).
• After application submission, candidates with valid GATE scores must register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for seat allocation.
• Final selection is based on GATE score, past academic record, and performance in a personal interview.
• The last date to apply for the 2026-27 session is April 17, 2026.
